Video Venues

Sunday Morning I will be preaching at a church in Orange County so I’m going to hang out at the office during the afternoon and then attend the Passion Venue at Saddleback Church at 6:30. In October I’ll be teaching a Proclaimation and Worship DMin Seminar at Mill Valley and plan on Attending the new Postmodern venue at Fair Oaks Baptist Church on Sunday.

My initial response to using video venues to reach a culture that values relationships is negative. I would think they’d want to press the flesh with their preacher, not watch him on a big screen TV, but I’m open to be proven wrong.

If you know of any other churches using video venues to reach post-seekers, let me know. I’d like to drop in their services. The West coast is easier for me, but I will be speaking on the East coast several times over the next year, so give me any suggestions you have. Of course, I’ll pass my observations on to you in the future.
